Tesla Supercharger in Brantford under construction [Ontario]

A new Tesla Supercharger has been discovered under construction in Brantford, Ontario.

Continuing their trend of installing Superchargers in Canadian Tire parking lots, the Brantford Supercharger is located in front of the Canadian Tire at 30 Lynden Road.

Supercharger equipment is already on site and based on photos of the construction shared by Jamie T. on Facebook, it looks like this station will have 12 V3 Superchargers when it opens.

Nearby amenities include a number of food options like A&W, McDonalds, Starbucks, Fast Freddie’s, and of course Canadian Tire.

Brantford was only added as a potential location last month during Tesla’s quarterly map update. According to Tesla it is scheduled to open in Q2 2023, but given that construction has already started and Supercharger equipment is already on-site, this station should hopefully open before the end of 2022.

Another station in nearby Simcoe is also scheduled to open before the end of the year. It is currently being built at 142 Queensway East, also in the parking lot near the Canadian Tire.

Other Superchargers currently under construction or waiting to be turned on in Ontario include those in Bracebridge, Gananoque, Toronto (Don Mills), Cobourg, and Port Severn.
