Tesla has officially announced a dedicated delivery event for the Signature Edition Model S and Model X vehicles.
According to invitations being sent out to buyers, the event will take place on May 12, 2026, at the company’s Fremont Factory in California, confirming earlier hints that Tesla would mark the occasion with a special celebration.
The event will be more than just a standard delivery day, although not everyone who ordered one of the limited-run vehicles will actually take delivery that day. According to the invitation, “Join us for an invite-only celebration of the first of the last deliveries of Model S and Model X Signature Edition—ever. During the event, you’ll get to enjoy refreshments and purchase Signature Edition merchandise. You may even be able to take delivery of your Signature Edition vehicle.”
As with other Tesla events, attendance will be tightly controlled. Tickets are non-transferable, IDs will be checked upon arrival, and guests must be at least 18 years old. Each invitee is allowed to bring one guest.
As we previously reported, both the Model S and Model X Signature Edition variants sold out in under a week, with Tesla producing just 250 units of the sedan and 100 units of the SUV. The invite-only ordering process, combined with pricing at US$160,000, did little to slow demand from Tesla’s most loyal customers and collectors.
