Dodge introduces the 2024 Ram 1500 REV with ‘Premature Electrification’ Super Bowl ad

Dodge used the biggest football game of the year to introduce its new Ram 1500 REV. Unlike the EV concept truck we saw last month; the Ram 1500 REV looks remarkably similar to its Ram series of gas and diesel trucks.

The Ram 1500 REV does have different headlights, taillights and a set of unique wheels, but other than that, it fits with the Ram family design. The truck has a crew-cab body and a short bed. However, Dodge did not confirm if the vehicle would have other configurations.

In addition, Dodge confirmed they would offer a range-extender version with a gasoline engine, but they did not confirm any other power details.

Interested buyers can reserve a spot in line at RamREV.com with a $100 refundable deposit. Signing up will also give you a membership to REV Insider +, which will share information about the coming 1500 REV.

It is currently only open to US residents, but we hope this quickly extends north of the border.

Dodge did not yet provide power output, battery size or range estimates, but we should see those later in the year.

Currently, the Ram 1500 REV will go into production in 2024, with deliveries happening later that year.
