Tesla increases Long Range Model S and Model X prices in Europe

Tesla has updated its online configurator in Europe and increased the price of the Long Range (LR) variants of the Model S and Model X vehicles.

The change took place Thursday evening, with prices in Germany increasing by €5,000 ($7,400 CAD) for both variants of the flagship vehicles. The increases were also noted in other European countries including Sweden and Norway.

Despite the Design Studio indicating the cars will arrive in Germany in Q1 2022, they are actually expected to arrive much sooner than that. Recent reports indicate Tesla will begin deliveries of the refresh Model S in Europe in Q3, alongside deliveries of the Model Y imported from Giga Shanghai.

This price increase matches the $5,000 increase the automaker made to the refresh Model S and Model X vehicles just one week ago in the US. Canadian prices have remain unchanged for both with the LR Model S still starting at $114,990 and Plaid variant starting at $169,990.
