How the estimate works
- The estimate is the amount you enter multiplied by the listed rate for the Supercharger you pick.
- Rates are in Canadian dollars per kWh, unless marked per minute. 8 Superchargers in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island charge per minute, so the calculator asks for minutes there.
- 109 sites have separate peak and off-peak rates; choose the time of day to see each. The rest charge one flat rate.
- Non-Tesla rates are used where Tesla reports them. If a site has no non-Tesla rate, that option is greyed out.
- Tesla can change Supercharger prices at any time. Check the Tesla app or in-car navigation for live pricing.
FAQ
What’s the difference between peak and off-peak rates?
109 of the 285 Superchargers use time-of-use pricing, with a higher peak rate and a lower off-peak rate. The rest charge one flat rate. Check the Tesla app or in-car navigation for the times that apply at each site.
What do non-Tesla EVs pay?
Non-Tesla rates are listed where Tesla reports them (203 of 285 sites). At every site with both rates listed, the non-Tesla rate is higher than the Tesla rate.
How big is my Tesla’s battery?
It depends on the model, trim and year. Pick your model in the “Your Tesla” dropdown in the calculator above to see its approximate usable capacity, which is also filled in as the energy amount. Figures are from EV Database; Tesla doesn’t publish official battery capacities, so treat them as approximate.
Why do some sites show a price per minute?
8 Superchargers in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island list a per-minute rate instead of a per-kWh rate. The calculator uses minutes for these sites.
