Tesla Supercharger in Maple Ridge under construction [British Columbia]

Tesla has started construction on a new Supercharger station just outside of Vancouver in Maple Ridge, British Columbia.

The new Supercharger is located in the parking lot of Maple Ridge Square shopping center at 22441 Dewdney Trunk Road.

The site was discovered under construction by one of our readers, Tyler Jensen, who shared these photos with us showing that work has only just begun and conduit for the underground utilities is in the process of being laid.

According to building plans for the Supercharger from the City of Maple Ridge website shared on TMC, there will be 12 V3 stalls when it is completed.

Tesla first added Maple Ridge as a potential Supercharger location in their first update of 2022.

At the time it was projected to open in Q3 2022, but that has since been updated to 2023. Given that construction has already started, they might not meet their initial target of Q3, but it should certainly open before the end of the year (so long as the utilities are connected and turned on a timely manner).

Once open it will be a welcomed addition for owners living in the area as it is the first Supercharger east of the Port Mann bridge and north of the Fraser River.

Tesla is also planning to open another Supercharger in Mission in Q2 2023, about 20 minutes to the east of Maple Ridge.
