TeslaMic launches in China and sells out in less than one hour

Tesla launched their own branded microphone in China today, and as has been the case with many recent product releases, the TeslaMic sold out in less than one hour.

The wireless TeslaMic was added to the Tesla Shop in conjunction with the release of KTV, a popular Chinese karaoke app, in the 2022.2.1 software update.

The product was listed on the Chinese Tesla Shop for ¥1,199 (~$240 CAD/$188 USD).

It proved so popular that it even crashed the website, but not before selling out quickly.

Although the site is still down at the time of publication, it appears you get two TeslaMics with each purchase, which connect to the vehicle through a USB dongle included in the box.

There is no word yet if the TeslaMic will be coming to any markets outside of China. Although it would make sense given that Tesla recently applied for a trademark in the US related to audio equipment.
