Kia has revealed U.S. pricing and final EPA range figures for the 2027 EV3. While we already knew the range figures from Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) ratings revealed last month, the U.S. pricing gives us some indication of where the compact electric SUV could be priced in Canada.
According to Kia, the 2027 Kia EV3 will start at just US$29,890 in the United States, making it one of the least expensive new EVs on the market. At the other end of the lineup, pricing climbs to around US$46,000 for the top trim.
Kia has yet to announce Canadian pricing, but using a straight exchange rate the U.S. prices suggest the EV3 could start just above C$41,000, and go up to the mid C$60K’s for the higher end trims. However, the larger EV4 is priced at C$38,995, so we expect it should come in below that number.
Two Battery Options and Up to 321 Miles of Range
The entry-level EV3 comes with a 58.3 kWh battery and an EPA-estimated range of 221 miles (356 km). Buyers looking for more range can step up to the larger 81.4 kWh battery, with the front-wheel drive Wind trim rated for 321 miles (517 km). Kia also lists the GT-Line at 280 miles (451 km).
Those figures line up exactly with the Canadian numbers that recently appeared in Natural Resources Canada’s database.
All-wheel drive will also be available, while the performance-oriented GT produces up to 288 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque.
400-Volt Charging and Native NACS
Unlike Kia’s larger EV6 and EV9, the EV3 uses a 400-volt architecture. Kia says a 10-to-80% DC fast charge can be completed in as little as 31 minutes.
The EV3 also comes from the factory with a native North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, providing access to more than 30,000 Tesla Superchargers in North America. Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability is also available.
Inside, the EV3 features nearly 30 inches of combined digital displays, along with available wireless phone charging and a 12-inch head-up display. Kia is also offering Virtual Gear Shift and Active Sound Design, which simulate gear changes and sounds from a traditional internal combustion engine.
U.S. and Canadian deliveries are expected to begin in late 2026. Canadian pricing is expected to be announced soon.
