As expected, Ford has announced pricing for its two high performance versions of the Mustang Mach-E, although it appears only one of them will be making an appearance in Canada.
Mustang Mach-E GT
The Mustang Mach-E GT features an all-wheel drive (AWD) powertrain with dual electric motors. Setting it apart from the lower trim Mach-E’s, this version has an upgraded front motor for a combined power output of 480 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque.
Official numbers are not available yet, but Ford is expecting the Mach-E GT to reach 60mph in around 3.8 seconds, and get 250 miles (402km) on a full charge.
Interestingly, Ford did not mention this variant in its press release for Canada. We can only assume this means it won’t be coming north of the border, but Drive Tesla has reached out to Ford for confirmation. We will update this story when we get a response.
In the US it will start at $59,900 USD ($74, 290 CAD), putting it just $1,000 lower than the Performance Model Y.
Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition
If those stats just aren’t enough for you, customers can opt for the GT Performance Edition. Dual electric motors deliver the same 480 horsepower but a little more torque – 634 lb-ft., giving it a slightly quicker 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds.
All of that performance comes with 235 miles (378km) of range on a single charge.
The Mach-E GT Performance Edition is coming to Canada, and will start at $82,995 CAD (or $64,900 USD). Both vehicles will begin deliveries later this fall, but customers will be able to place orders on Wednesday, April 28.
