Standard Range Tesla Model Y’s with 7 seat configuration begin deliveries in Canada

The story of the Standard Range (SR) Tesla Model Y has been a strange one, particularly in Canada. We can now add one more chapter as deliveries with the optional 7 seat configuration have begun north of the border.

Drive Tesla reader Darci took delivery of her red SR Model Y this morning at the Lawrence Avenue location in Toronto. With a VIN ending in 116XXX it came equipped with the updated center console and heated steering wheel.

It did not come with the new headlights, which so far have only been found on Performance variants.

As far as we are aware, this is the very first delivery of the SR Model Y with the third row seating in Canada. The lucky new owners tell us they placed their order on January 8, one day after the now discontinued variant was first announced.

Other Drive Tesla readers who have placed orders for the same configuration tell us they have been informed by their Sales Advisors their orders won’t be fulfilled as the factory is no longer producing them.

Do you have an order for a SR Model Y with the 7 seat configuration? Do you have a delivery date, or have you been told your order won’t be fulfilled? Let us know in the comments below.
