Tesla has built 7,000 Model Ys during a single week at Giga Berlin, reaching a new production milestone at the German factory that now supplies Canadian customers.
The announcement came from Tesla Manufacturing on X, which credited employees as the plant continues increasing output.
At that weekly pace, Giga Berlin would produce approximately 364,000 Model Ys annually, coming close to the >375,000 annualized figure in the Q3 2026 shareholder deck.
Giga Berlin previously reached 5,000 Model Ys in a week in March 2023, followed by 6,000 in early 2024.
Ramp-up is in full swing at Giga Berlin. This week we hit the next production milestone: 7,000 Model Y built in one week. Congrats to the whole team! https://t.co/1eOBZ6Vclo

The latest production figure should come as no surprise and follows months of preparations in Germany. Tesla announced in June that it planned another 20% output increase beginning in October, targeting approximately 7,500 vehicles weekly and adding 1,000 employees to support the expansion.
By September, workers had been assigned three extra shifts as the company worked toward that goal. At the time, the factory was producing fewer than 6,500 vehicles weekly, according to our earlier coverage. The newly announced total brings Berlin closer to its stated target.
For Canada, the milestone comes at an important factory. Tesla began bringing German-built Model Ys into the country in September 2025, with the first shipment arriving through Halifax. The switch allowed Tesla to avoid Canada’s 25% counter-tariff on vehicles manufactured in the United States.
That sourcing change helped Tesla bring Canadian prices down, but also made deliveries dependent on shipments crossing the Atlantic. In July, we reported that estimated arrival dates for Canadian orders had moved into December, with some configurations showing January 2027. Those were the estimates at the time, rather than a new update from Tesla.
Berlin also supplies more than 30 markets, so its production serves customers well beyond Canada.
