A new Tesla Model S and Model X have been spotted at Giga Shanghai, hinting at the imminent launch of the two flagship vehicles in China.
The two vehicles were seen during a drone flyover of the factory on Friday, March 11, with both of them being loaded on to small transport trucks.
Several employees were trying to cover them up, but not before drone pilot Wu Wa was able to get his camera directly above the vehicles.
It is unlikely the two vehicles were built at Giga Shanghai. Instead they were likely shipped over from the Fremont factory in California for testing and certification before they can officially be offered for sale in China.
In November last year CEO Elon Musk said the Model S Plaid would “probably” launch around March, putting it right on schedule.
You can watch the full drone flyover below. The Model S/X appear at 6:38.
