Tesla officially promoting the Model 3 as an emergency response vehicle

While police departments across the United States and Canada add Tesla vehicles to their fleets, the automaker is now officially promoting the Model 3 as an emergency response vehicle in the United Kingdom.

Max Toozs-Hobson, a Senior Tesla Advisor in London used his LinkedIn account this week to show off a retrofitted Model 3. The short 5-second video features a white Model 3 complete with blue and white flashing lights, the main colours associated with emergency services in the UK.

Citing the need to move to electric vehicles (EVs) as part of the United Kingdom’s ‘Road to Zero’ strategy, Hobson says the Model 3 is the perfect choice for emergency service response. It offers “unbeatable range, performance & safety for our public safety workers,” he said.

According to a report from Car Dealer Magazine, there are already several groups, including a fire department, interested in seeing how the Model 3 performs.
