Second Tesla Supercharger in Edmonton starts construction [Alberta]

Edmonton is about to get its second Supercharger station after a new location was discovered under construction today.

The new Supercharger is located in southwest Edmonton in Windermere, in the parking lot of Wine and Beyond at 6284 Currents Drive NW.

The site was discovered today by TMC member Xelloss99 and based on the photos shared on the forum, construction started fairly recently.

According to Xellos99 the underground conduit for 12 stalls is already in place and from what they could see it is being built for a possible expansion to 16 stalls in the future.

According to Tesla, the Edmonton Supercharger is slated to open in Q2 2023, however it looks like they will be able to open it up ahead of schedule.

There is currently one other Supercharger in Edmonton, an 8-stall V2 Supercharger at Southgate Center (5015 111St NW).

Late last year we also reported on a Supercharger under construction at the Edmonton Service Center. Given that we haven’t heard of any owners being able to use this station, and that it has not appeared on Tesla’s map, we presume it is not open for public use.
