The Cadillac Escalade IQ shines in its first appearance

The Cadillac Escalade IQ has finally made its first appearance at an event in New York City. This is the first time we have seen the full vehicle, which will go into production next summer at General Motor’s Factory Zero near Detroit.

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ will start at US$130,000 and look to take on the Rivian R1S, Mercedes-Benz EQS, Kia EV and Volvo EX90 in the luxury SUV tier.

The vehicle will also come with a giant 200 kWh battery which should be able to provide a 450-mile range. However, the exact range is still TBD, with EPA testing later in the year. The vehicle will also have some serious power with 0-60 mph clocked at sub-five seconds.

Cadillac offers two versions of the Escalade IQ. The Luxury version features metallic brushed aluminium finishes. While the Sport version features dark metal finishes. Clients will then have four different interior options to choose form no matter the version of the vehicle.

On the inside, the Escalade IQ has impressive tech with a 55-inch curved OLED display powered by a Snapdragon 12 Cockpit Platform. Google will provide navigation with built-in Google Maps, Google Assistant and Google Play support. Finally, the vehicle will also come with GM’S Super Cruise, GM’s advanced driver-assist system.

At least, say, the Escalade IQ looks to be a great-looking EV with specs and the tech to meet the $130,000 price tag. But, with more than a year to go until production, we still have a while to wait until we see one on the road.
