Tesla has released Supercharging stats for Q2 2026. The EV maker opened thousands of new stalls to customers and recorded a double-digit increase in charging sessions.
The second quarter saw Tesla adding 2,700 new Superchargers globally, representing a 17 percent year-on-year increase in network expansion rate. Tesla and non-Tesla EVs tapped 2 TWh of energy from the public charging network, a 30 percent growth compared to the same period last year.

Altogether, 60 million charging sessions kept EV batteries running, a performance that was 32 percent better than Q2 2025. Tesla also added 5,000 Supercharger locations to the official map, covering 58,000 charging stalls.
In the company’s estimate, the Supercharger network saved nearly one billion litres of gasoline from being burnt by fossil-fuel-powered vehicles. As a result, the planet was spared 3.8 billion kg of CO2 emissions that could have worsened climate change.
In the same quarter, Tesla installed the 1,000th Supercharger in Australia.
Tesla’s focus isn’t just on expanding its charging network, but also improving the experience for EV owners. It is expanding forecasted Supercharger availability in Google Maps globally. The automaker is also bringing parity between iPhone and Android versions of the charging app by enabling live Supercharging updates on the lock screen for the latter.
