Tesla planning 20-stall Supercharger in Vaughan [Ontario]

Ontario will soon be home to another large Supercharger station as Tesla has submitted plans to construct a 20-stall station in Vaughan.

According to plans submitted to the City of Vaughan this past summer, and uncovered by one of our readers Chansoo Byeon, Tesla is planning to build the station at 21 Famous Avenue. The site plans show the 20 stalls will located along Famous Avenue near the PetSmart and Sephora shops, and across from the Chop Steakhouse and Bar.

Unfortunately this looks like it won’t be a V4 Supercharger station as the current V3 posts are illustrated in the plans.

Interestingly, while Tesla hasn’t started construction of this Supercharger in Vaughan (if anyone spots the start of construction, let us know), they are currently building one less than 2km away. That Supercharger is also a relatively large station with 16 stalls. It started construction in October and is located just around the corner in front of the Fortinos grocery store on Ansley Grove Road (3940 Hwy 7).

Ontario has been a hub of Supercharger construction activity as of late. As we told you about earlier today, the company has just started construction of a station in Guelph, while simultaneously completing other projects in Oakville, Markham, and two in Mississauga.
