Tesla owners in southern Alberta are one step closer to getting a long-awaited charging location as construction on the new Lethbridge Supercharger has not only started, but it looks to already be completed.
The site, located at Park Place Mall near Dollarama at 501 1 Ave S #131, features 12 V4 Supercharger stalls. According to recent photos from the location shared on TMC, the charging equipment has been installed, final site work has been completed, and the utility meter is now in place, suggesting the station could be energized and opened to drivers in the very near future.
Once turned on, the Lethbridge Supercharger will improve charging coverage across southern Alberta and provide a convenient stop for local residents, visitors, and drivers travelling between Calgary, Medicine Hat, and destinations further south.

Tesla’s plans for a Lethbridge Supercharger first surfaced in late 2024, when Tesla told us about their plans to add over 50 new Superchargers with more than 650 stalls across Canada in 2025. A few months later, in February 2025, Tesla officially added the site to its Supercharger map as ‘in development.’
While the company didn’t meet the 2025 goal, construction likely started a month or two ago, and has now been completed.
With construction now complete and the utility meter installed, the only major step remaining is energization. While Tesla does not provide official opening dates, the station appears to be in the final stages before welcoming its first drivers.
There is currently only one other Supercharger under construction in Alberta. Work began in the northern part of the province in Wandering River last October, the crucial stop required on the route to Fort McMurray, where another Supercharger is planned.
