Tesla Supercharger under construction in Deschambault [Quebec]

Tesla is adding another charging stop along Quebec’s Highway 40, with a new Supercharger now under construction at Restaurant Le Chavigny in Deschambault.

The location only appeared on Tesla’s Find Us map earlier this week, and now construction is already underway. Le Chavigny announced the start of construction in a Facebook post, confirming it was working with Tesla to bring several fast-charging stalls to the property.

According to the restaurant, the current schedule calls for installation and activation before the end of 2026. While the number of stalls was not confirmed in the post, the image shared in it indicates it could be up to 16 stalls. Although we’re not quite sure how accurate that is because the cars are parked in the bushes, and it shows older V3 hardware.

Located at 11 Rue des Pins, just off Exit 254, Le Chavigny sits between Trois-Rivières and Quebec City. Its highway access and on-site restaurant should make it a convenient place to plug in while stopping for a meal during a longer drive through the Portneuf region.

Deschambault joins other recent Supercharger projects in Quebec. Tesla is also building a station in Montcerf-Lytton, while stations in Montreal and Brownsburg also started construction this week.

Tesla also recently opened a 24-stall location in Mont-Tremblant on September 29, featuring a commemorative stall marking the company’s 3,000th Canadian Supercharger.
