Suspicious death at Tesla Fremont factory parking lot results in homicide investigation

The Tesla Fremont factory parking lot was the site of a suspicious death on Monday afternoon.

The Fremont Police Department were called to the factory at approximately 3:26pm about a “subject down” in the factory parking lot.

First responders provided emergency treatment, but the subject was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide investigators have taken over the investigation, but no further details were provided about the cause of death or whether the subject was a Tesla employee.

The suspicious death comes on the same day the factory was temporarily shut down due to a power outage.
