SpaceX Signs $6.3 billion AI Compute Deal with Reflection as Colossus Customer List Grows

Colossus 1 Data Center

SpaceX’s Colossus supercomputer is quickly becoming one of the hottest commodities in artificial intelligence (AI). Just days after completing its record-breaking IPO and announcing the acquisition of AI coding startup Cursor, SpaceX has signed another major compute agreement

The latest deal is with Reflection AI, and could be worth up to $6.3 billion through 2029. Under the agreement, Reflection AI will gain access to Nvidia’s latest GB300 chips housed at SpaceX’s Colossus 2 data center near Memphis, Tennessee. The startup will reportedly begin paying $150 million per month starting July 1, although either company can terminate the arrangement after the first three months with 90 days’ notice.

While smaller than SpaceX’s previously disclosed compute agreements, the deal further establishes the company’s AI infrastructure business as a major revenue stream.

Over the last several months, SpaceX has quietly assembled an impressive roster of customers for its massive AI clusters. Anthropic agreed to pay approximately $1.25 billion per month through mid-2029, while Google signed a separate deal worth $920 million per month beginning later this year.

In April, AI coding platform Cursor entered into a partnership with SpaceX, leveraging the company’s compute resources before ultimately agreeing to a $60 billion acquisition. SpaceX later announced it had exercised that option, bringing Cursor into the company in an all-stock transaction.

Altogether, the agreements represent more than $2.3 billion in monthly contracted revenue from AI compute alone.

Despite the new deal, shares of SpaceX (SPCX) continued their three-day slide, closing down more than 16% on Monday, and down more than 23% from its peak shortly after the IPO.
