Polestar 2 releases lower pricing on single-motor variant

Polestar, the Swedish EV automaker, released updates on their latest vehicle, the Polestar 2. The new car will have increased range, a lower entry price for the single-motor option, and a new bespoke configuration. The announcement comes as the Polestar 2 nears launch in Canada.

The vehicle now comes with an option of a single-motor powertrain or dual-motor powertrain.

The single-motor options have an estimated EPA range of 426-km. In addition, pricing for the single-motor option starts at $49,900, which means it qualifies under some provincial incentive schemes . So, owners in Quebec for instance can enjoy the new Polestar 2 for as low as $41,900.

The Polestar 2 will begin deliveries in Canada by the late Fall of 2021.
