Lucid Air Canadian pricing announced, first international Studio opens in Vancouver this weekend

Just a few months before deliveries are expected to begin in Canada, Lucid Motors has announced Canadian pricing for the Lucid Air luxury electric sedan.

The first Lucid to arrive in Canada will be the limited Air Dream Edition. After recently announcing it will come in two different variants, one offering more power and the other offering more range, the Air Dream Edition will start at $229,000.

That is about a $20,000 premium compared to the price in the United States ($169,000 USD) when taking the exchange rate into account.

Next will be the Air Grand Touring with a 830km (516 miles) of range on a full charge. It will start at $189,000 before options.

The other two vehicles, the Air Touring and Air Pure, both with 653km (405 miles) of range will start at $129,000 and $105,000 respectively.Lucid pricing

Customers can reserve all Lucid models with fully refundable deposits ranging from $400 for the Air Pure up to $1,300 for the Air Touring and Air Grand Touring. Reservations for the Air Dream Edition have sold out, even after the company increased the number they would be making to 520 to match their industry leading range.

Vancouver Lucid Studio Opening

Along with announcing the pricing, Lucid will also be opening their first international retail location this weekend in Vancouver. The Vancouver Studio will give potential customers an up-close look at a Lucid Air in person.

There will also be a digital experience that combines the physical and virtual worlds to showcase everything from interior finishes and materials to exterior colours.

The Lucid Studio is located at CF Pacific Center in downtown Vancouver, and will open on Saturday, October 16 2021 with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:00am. An open-house will be hosted for the rest of the day until 8:00pm.

“Announcing Canadian pricing and our first retail location in the country in tandem is critical in bringing the Lucid brand to Canada,” said Zak Edson, Senior Director, Sales and Service, Lucid Group. “This opening is the first of many announcements for locations outside of the U.S. market as we continue our rapid global expansion.”

Lucid plans to open its next Canadian Studio in the Toronto area in 2022, with other locations to follow.
