Ford is targeting Tesla owners with a new offer on its F-150 Lightning. The promotion, known as the Tesla Competitive Conquest Bonus Cash, provides a $1,500 discount exclusively to Tesla vehicle owners.
The offer applies across all trims of the F-150 Lightning. For the top-of-the-line Platinum trim, the combined incentives, including a substantial $12,500 Retail Bonus Cash, can lead to savings of up to $14,000. Meanwhile, trims like the XLT Extended Range and Lariat offer savings of $7,500 and $5,000 respectively, according to a dealer bulletin seen by CarsDirect.
The Tesla Competitive Conquest Bonus Cash is running from now through July 8th, and applies to both 2023 and 2024 models of the F-150 Lightning.
This limited-time offer comes on the heels of Ford cutting prices on the F-150 Lightning, as the company works to clear out inventory and boost demand for its electric pickup truck. As we previously reported, the discounts on the Lightning were as much as $5,500 for the Lightning Flash Extended Range.
Both of these promotions, the Tesla Competitive Conquest Bonus Cash and the price discounts are currently only available in the United States.
This isn’t the first time another automaker with an EV offering has targeted Tesla owners. In December 2023 Lucid launched a similar ‘Conquest Credit Bonus,’ providing Tesla owners a $2,000 discount on all 2023 models of the Air sedan in an attempt to boost sales before the end of the year.
Then just last month BMW launched a ‘2024 BEV Conquest Program,’ offering Tesla and other EV owners a $1,000 incentive to purchase one of their BEVs.
