Fisker teases ‘radical’ electric pickup to take on the Cybertruck

Even though the Fisker Ocean SUV isn’t set to arrive until at least some time in 2022, CEO Henrik Fisker has teased his company’s next electric vehicle (EV).

In a Twitter post last week Fisker revealed it will be a “lifestyle pick up truck”. The teaser image that was included strangely cut off the rear of the truck, but showed off sharp lines and edges reminiscent of the Tesla Cybertruck.

Other than the render and a claim they want it to be the lightest and most efficient and sustainable EV, there were few details provided by the CEO.

In a follow-up tweet in response to a question about the electric truck’s price, Fisker said “It’s got to be under $39k with 4×4 standard! Our team is working on it!”. An interesting number to pick, given the base single motor RWD Cybertruck starts at $39,900 USD.

Before that happens though, they first need to release the Fisker Ocean SUV. When it does hit the streets, it will have a Canadian connection. Last year Fisker announced a deal with Ontario-based Magna International to build the SUV at a facility in Europe.
