First look at the future site of Giga Texas [Video]

Tesla CEO Elon Musk only announced the location of the next Gigafactory in the US in Austin, Texas last week during the Q2 2020 earnings call.

As with the construction of Giga Shanghai and the ongoing construction of Giga Berlin, it only took a few days for the first drone videos of the site to emerge on YouTube.

From the videos it is clear to see Musk was telling the truth when he said during the call construction had already begun. We can see a number of heavy-duty construction vehicles clearing and prepping the 2,000 acre site.

When complete, it will manufacture both the Model 3 and Model Y, with those vehicles supplying the eastern half of the US.

It will also manufacture the new Cybertruck and Tesla Semi, both set to be released next year.
