Electrify Canada opens first DC fast chargers in Quebec

Electrify Canada is continuing the cross-country expansion of their EV fast charger network with the opening of their first two locations in Quebec.

The first station is located at the Premium Outlets Montréal in Mirabel. If that sounds familiar, it is likely because Electrify Canada opened their very first charger one year ago at the Toronto Premium Outlets.

Another location also opened about 150 kilometers away at the Canadian Tire at 3525 Boulevard des Forges in Trois-Rivières.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer a premier charging experience to Quebecers with our new station at the Premium Outlets Montréal,” said Rob Barrosa, chief operation officer at Electrify Canada. “Quebec is such an important market for electric vehicles, and we are eager to expand our services throughout the province to better support the growing local EV community.”

Both stations are equipped with four fast charging connections offering speeds of up to 150kW and 350kW. The company recently streamlined its pricing structure resulting in lower charging fees.

Electrify Canada will soon also install overhead canopies at these new locations, a change that was announced earlier this summer. The canopies are intended to provide safety at night and protect drivers from the sometimes harsh Canadian climate.

Quebec will see four more Electrify Canada charging stations open in the next few months at various Canadian Tire locations.
