Tesla Model Ys seen driving out of Giga Berlin and heading to test track [Video]

News of out of Giga Berlin has been relatively quiet since the factory hosted thousands of fans at the County Fair in early October.

In a sign that the factory is getting close to beginning production, at least three Model Ys were spotted driving out of Giga Berlin yesterday.

Drone operator Tobias Lindh captured video of a white, black, and red Model Y exiting out of a large bay door on the side of the factory.

The three vehicles then drove over to the temporary Giga Berlin test track and performed a series of high speed runs.

We have already seen evidence of Model Ys arriving at the factory from Giga Shanghai to help test the production equipment. Since they appeared to be testing the performance of the Model Ys, there is a good chance that these were built entirely at Giga Berlin.

Amazingly, Giga Berlin is still without its final permits and approvals. With just over 6 weeks left in 2021, Elon Musk is still hoping to have those in hand before the end of the year.

You can watch the full drone flyover below. The Model Ys exit the factory at 5:58, and are seen on the test track in the lower right corner of the screen at 7:58.
