For those lucky new Tesla Model Y owners, there are some new accessories available for purchase in the online Tesla shop.
Model Y Roof Rack
Despite a very similar design, the Model Y roof rack is a different item than the roof rack available for the Model 3. The roof rack is made of aluminum powder-coated cross bars and die-cast towers with integrated locks.
The Model Y roof rack is available for $450USD, and have a load rating of 165lbs (improved over the Model 3 roof rack which has a load rating of 150lbs).
Model Y Car Cover
The indoor option of the Tesla Model Y car cover is available for $325CAD ($230USD) and stretches to fit perfectly around your Model Y. It includes charge port openings to allow easy access, and a ventilated mesh area at the front to allow for air flow while charging.
The outdoor option, priced at $425CAD ($300USD) includes a middle layer of Thermoplastic Polyurethane and two outer layers of woven polyester. This design allows for breathability while still protecting your vehicle by providing the best water resistance. The outdoor cover also includes charge port openings to allow easy access, and a ventilated mesh area at the front to allow for air flow while charging.
