Who hasn’t wanted to give their dad an awesome gift for Father’s Day? For most people, that usually ends up being a gift worth maybe a few hundred dollars.
But when you’re a defensive end for the San Francisco 49’ers, you can afford to spend a little more, and that’s exactly what 49’ers star Solomon Thomas did this past weekend.
In the video, which Thomas first shared to his Instagram account, we see him taking delivery of a brand new white Performance Model 3 at a local Tesla store, then driving it to surprise his father.
As he exits his house, he says “What is this?”, to which Thomas happily responds “Happy Father’s Day dad!”
According to Thomas, he wanted to get his dad a new car as he has been driving the same car since he was 14. Growing up, his dad was a big role model for him, and even when he worked out of state, still made time to attend his football games.
It appears Thomas is also a big Tesla fan, as there is another Tesla Model S parked in his garage.
