Creston Supercharger now open [British Columbia]

After a false start last year, the Tesla Supercharger in Creston, British Columbia is now open.

Construction was supposed to begin last October, with the parking lot spray painted to mark out where the new Superchargers would sit, but a disagreement from the property owner over the location brought construction to a halt before it even began.

An agreement was reach and the location shifted to a different section of the parking lot, with construction officially kicking off in January.

This week the power was turned on and the 6 stall Supercharger at the Creston Ramada (1 1809 BC-3A) is now active according to TMC user JayPan.

Since the station was partially funded by Natural Resources Canada, there are also two FLO DC fast chargers for other EVs.

The opening of the Creston Supercharger follows the opening of the Fernie Supercharger last month, providing almost complete coverage of the Crowsnest Hwy (Hwy 3) along the southern route of British Columbia.

The lone site remaining is in Castlegar, which has been under construction since October last year. The site is largely complete but is still missing a transformer, meaning the Supercharger tech who turned on Fernie and Creston over the last two weeks is unable to do the same for Castlegar on this trip.
