Vancouver PD asking for a Tesla driver with potentially vital TeslaCam evidence to come forward

The Vancouver Police Department launched a public appeal for a Tesla driver to come forward after an accident in downtown Vancouver. A white Tesla was in the area during a deadly crash near Smithe and Hornby in the downtown core earlier this week.

The crash happened on Tuesday afternoon, with a Ford Escape and McLaren hitting each other in the intersection. One of the vehicles jumped the curb and hit a father and daughter walking on the sidewalk.

Tragically the 23-month-old girl was killed immediately by the vehicle. The father needed multiple surgeries and is still in the hospital.

The Tesla in question was travelling on Smithe, turned right onto Hornby and parked on the corner until six o clock that evening.

The Vancouver Police Department believes that the Tesla may have onboard footage that could help with their investigation. If you believe you may be the driver, please call the VPD at 604-717-3012 to help with the investigation.
