Just a few weeks after teasing its arrival with a social media post, Tesla has officially launched vehicle sales in Uruguay.
Customers can now configure and order both the Model 3 and Model Y through Tesla’s online configurator, making Uruguay the third South American country to receive official Tesla vehicle sales, after Colombia and Chile.
The online configurator also reveals when the first customers can expect to receive their vehicles. According to Tesla’s website, initial deliveries are expected to take place in October or November 2026.
Model 3 pricing
Tesla is offering three variants of the Model 3 in Uruguay, with pricing starting at US$32,990 for the Rear-Wheel Drive model. The Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive variant, listed as the Model 3 Premium, starts at US$37,990, while the Performance version is priced from US$49,990.
The Rear-Wheel Drive Model 3 offers a WLTP-rated range of 534 km, a top speed of 201 km/h, and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.2 seconds.
Model Y pricing
The Model Y is also available in two configurations. The Rear-Wheel Drive Model Y Premium starts at US$36,490, while the Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive version is priced at US$41,490.
Full Self-Driving (FSD) subscriptions are also available to be added to order for US$119 per month.
With orders now open and deliveries only a few months away, Uruguay officially joins Tesla’s growing presence in South America as the company continues expanding into new international markets.
