Tesla announced last month that the 2021 Annual Shareholder meeting was scheduled to take place at 2:30pm PST on October 7, 2021 at the Fremont factory in California. The event invitation didn’t explicitly state in-person attendance would be restricted, but it did say a livestream of the event will be provided.
In an update posted to the automaker’s Investor Relations website on Friday, the location and other details of the event have now been changed.
The meeting will still take place on October 7, but will now be held at Giga Texas. Since the factory is still a very active construction site and due to ongoing public health requirements, shareholders will not be allowed to attend in-person.
The time of the meeting remains unchanged.
“The 2021 Annual Meeting will be presented from Tesla’s Gigafactory in Austin, Texas on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at 4:30 p.m. Central Time in a virtual-only format as described below.”
If you were a Tesla (TSLA) shareholder as of close of business on August 9, 2021 you will be able to cast a votes on the nine proposals that will be presented during the meeting.
The 2021 Annual Meeting livestream can be watched at https://meetnow.global/MVA22YQ. The virtual meeting will feature live audio webcasts, plus the option for stockholders to submit votes and written comments and questions.
