Tesla is expanding one of its more useful Supercharger planning features, with forecasted stall availability now also available through Android Auto.
The expansion comes after Tesla Charging announced in June that forecasted Supercharger availability was rolling out globally to EVs with Google Maps built-in. The feature gives drivers an estimate of how many Supercharger stalls will be available when they arrive, rather than simply showing how many are free at the moment.
Now Tesla says the same capability is available through Android Auto, significantly increasing the number of EVs that can take advantage of the technology.

Going Beyond Live Availability
The expansion follows Tesla’s recent addition of live Supercharger availability to Google Maps in Canada and the United States. That integration allows EV drivers to see the current number of available stalls at a Supercharger without using Tesla’s app or in-car navigation.
Forecasted availability takes that a step further. Instead of showing only what is happening at a station right now, the system attempts to predict conditions when the driver actually reaches the Supercharger.
Drivers with eligible EVs can opt in to the feature, which also allows their navigation data to help improve Tesla’s charging forecasts.
