Despite Tesla customers in the United States that the Signature Edition Model S and Model X were sold out, it appears the company still has a small number of vehicles reserved for Europe.
According to posts shared by Christian Dallapozza on a German Tesla Facebook group this week, invitations to purchase the Model S Signature Edition have been sent to customers in Europe this week.
Unlike the original launch, where buyers received an invitation and then completed their order through Tesla’s online configurator, European customers are receiving personalized invitations from Tesla sales advisors and placing their orders manually. According to the email, the vehicles’ limited availability means orders are being processed directly by Tesla rather than through the company’s traditional online ordering system.
Dallapozza shared screenshots showing Tesla inviting him to place an order for a Model S Plaid Signature Edition. The communication also notes that the invitation applies only to the Model S Signature and not the Model X Signature.

As of today, Dallapozza’s order has been confirmed and he has been assigned an order number.

According to information shared alongside the invitation, approximately 20 Signature Edition vehicles are expected to be allocated to Europe, with an estimated delivery window between July and September.
If accurate, that would represent 8% of the original 250-unit production run announced by Tesla earlier this year, which also consisted of 100 Model X Signature Editions.
The move suggests Tesla’s earlier “sold out” messaging may have applied specifically to allocations for the U.S. market. Despite customers in Europe receiving invitations to order, there still appears to be no sign of any Canadian allocation.
Canadian buyers were notably absent from the initial invite-only rollout despite the country’s strong historical adoption of the Model S and Model X and its close proximity to the United States. The current tariff situation could have played a role in Canada being left out of the final Model S and Model X vehicles ever built.
