Tesla has lined up a fleet of customer-branded Semis outside its Nevada factory, offering a look at the companies it is putting in the spotlight at tonight’s inauguration.
Drone footage captured a day before the event by the Tesla Semi advocate @HinrichsZane on X, shows trucks bearing the names of PepsiCo, US Foods, Einride, LTS, Nevoya, OK Produce, ABF Freight, DHL, WattEV, IMC Logistics and HMD.
Some have already been connected to the Semi through deliveries, trials or announced plans, like US Foods, Einride, DHL, and WattEV. Others however have not yet been associated with the Semi, including LTS, Nevoya, and OK Produce.
We already know how many Semi trucks some of the companies have ordered, like WattEV’s 40-truck purchase and Einride’s record 500-truck order. For those we are only learning about today, we don’t know how many trucks each company has ordered or whether deliveries have begun, or will start tonight. Tesla may provide more detail during the inauguration.
PepsiCo was among the first customers to take delivery of a Semi in 2022, and has taken delivery of dozens of trucks since then.
Aside from revealing new customers, Tesla has also arranged four generations of the Semi outside the factory, giving guests a chance to see how the truck has changed since its original unveiling. A separate truck carries a “Veterans at Tesla” wrap.
