Tesla’s Supercharger team in British Columbia is on a roll. Just one day after opening its new Supercharger in Terrace, another station farther west in Prince Rupert is now also online – its third northern B.C. Supercharger opening in just three days.
The new Prince Rupert Supercharger is located at the Atlin Terminal at 215 Cow Bay Road. The station features four V4 Supercharger stalls capable of delivering up to 325 kW. Plugging in costs Tesla owners $0.24/kWh, while non-Tesla EV drivers will pay $0.32/kWh.
The opening follows Monday’s activation of the four-stall Vanderhoof Supercharger and Tuesday’s opening of the eight-stall station at Skeena Mall in Terrace.
The three locations add 16 new Supercharger stalls along Hwy 16, dramatically improving Tesla’s charging infrastructure across northern BC.
However, the span is not quite complete as a nearly 500 km gap remains between Vanderhoof and Terrace. Tesla has previously indicated it was working to bring Superchargers around Burns Lake and Smithers, but those locations have since disappeared from Tesla’s Find Us map.
