Tesla Model S Plaid vs Porsche Taycan Turbo S ¼ mile drag race

Dragtimes released a video where a Tesla Model S Plaid went up against a Porsche Taycan Turbo S. The drag race happened at the Palm Beach International Raceway in Palm Beach, Florida.

The Tesla Model S Plaid pumps out 1020 HP while the Taycan puts out 750 HP. The Model S Plaid was at around 90% in battery charge, while the Taycan had 100% charge. The vehicles raced three times down the ¼ mile track.

In Race One the Tesla took the Porsche with ease. The Model S Plaid finished in 9.673 seconds and reached a top speed of 150.93 MPH even with a lousy launch from the vehicle. While the Porsche finished almost a second behind at 10.422 and reached a top speed of 129.90 MPH

In race two, nothing changed. The Tesla smashed the Porsche once again. The Tesla put up a 9.360-second run, while the Porsche posted a 10.393-second run.

In race three, it was more of the same. The Tesla posted a 9.344-second run, and the Porsche ran in 10.379 seconds.

The Tesla was so impressive that the Porsche Taycan owner ordered a Model S Plaid after race one on his iPhone.
