Tesla linked to new 220,000 square foot warehouse to be built near Giga Texas

A group with ties to Tesla CEO Elon Musk has filed an application with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) to build a massive new warehouse near Giga Texas.

According to the filing, which was registered with TDLR on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, Horse Ranch LLC is the owner of 1000 Fallwell Lane, the property where the $11 million warehouse will be built.

This is just to the southeast of Giga Texas and across the Colorado River.

The filing says construction is scheduled to start on June 1, 2022, and be complete one year later on June 1, 2023. (h/t: @SawyerMerritt)

As we previously reported, Horse Ranch LLC bought the land in question in November 2021, a purchase that included as much as 620 acres south of the Colorado River.

One of the listed managers of the LLC is Jared Birchall, the CEO of one of Musk’s other companies, Neuralink.

This warehouse is not likely connected to ‘Project Cathode’, the details of which were uncovered earlier this month. As the name implies, Tesla is planning to build a cathode factory on a 32-acre parcel of land, also next to Giga Texas.
