Tesla’s latest annual report for Giga Berlin shows that despite producing fewer vehicles in 2025 than the year before, the factory actually became more profitable.
According to Tesla Manufacturing Brandenburg SE’s 2025 management report, the facility posted a net profit of €77.1 million in 2025, up from €56.8 million in 2024. That improvement came even as revenue declined from €7.7 billion to €7.1 billion and vehicle production slipped from approximately 211,000 vehicles to 202,000.
Tesla attributed the lower production primarily to the Model Y changeover at the beginning of 2025 and the introduction of new variants, noting that production remained relatively stable overall despite the transition. The report specifically highlights the integration of the redesigned Model Y, the launch of the Model Y Performance, and the addition of an export version built for the Canadian market.
The report also notes that the plant currently supplies more than 30 markets, with plans to add more in the future.
While revenue declined year-over-year, Tesla said manufacturing costs fell by more than €500 million thanks largely to more efficient production processes, helping offset the impact of lower output. The company also reduced interest expenses compared to the previous year, contributing to the stronger bottom line.
The improved financial performance comes as Tesla prepares for another major expansion at Giga Berlin. The company has already announced plans to increase production by an additional 20% beginning in October, raising output to approximately 7,500 vehicles per week.
Combined with an earlier production increase announced this year, Tesla expects to create roughly 3,500 new jobs while also expanding battery cell manufacturing at the site to 18 GWh per year.
