Tesla recorded a sharp increase in vehicle registrations in Germany in June, continuing a broader recovery for the automaker across European markets in 2026.
According to new registration data released by Germany’s Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), Tesla registered 7,768 vehicles in June 2026, representing a staggering 317.6% increase compared to June 2025.
The result gave Tesla a 2.6% share of Germany’s overall passenger vehicle market for the month and marked the company’s second-best June performance on record.
The strong showing also pushed Tesla firmly back into growth territory for the year. Through the first six months of 2026, Tesla has registered 28,857 vehicles in Germany, up 224.6% compared to the same period last year, according to the KBA figures.
Best quarterly result in more than three years
The June performance capped off Tesla’s strongest quarter in Germany since the first quarter of 2023, ending a stretch of thirteen consecutive quarters below that level, according to data compiled by X user Roland Pircher.
Although June registrations were lower than the unusually strong March figures seen at the end of the first quarter, Tesla’s sales trajectory throughout 2026 suggests demand has stabilized and returned to growth after a difficult 2025 across much of Europe.
The sales rebound is not isolated to Germany. Tesla has already posted triple-digit growth rates this year in countries including France, Spain, Denmark, and Sweden, and Germany now appears to be following the same trend.
With nearly 29,000 registrations already recorded through June, Tesla’s German business is on pace to comfortably exceed its full-year 2025 total if current momentum continues through the second half of the year.
