New vehicle registration data from Colombia shows the Tesla Model Y remained the country’s best-selling vehicle in June, extending its run at the top of the sales charts to four consecutive months.
According to data released on Friday, Tesla delivered 2,295 Model Y units in Colombia last month, giving the electric SUV a commanding 7.9% share of the entire automotive market.
The nearest competitor wasn’t even close. The second-place Renault Duster recorded 1,021 registrations, less than half the Model Y’s total, while the Foton BJ rounded out the top three with 1,007 deliveries.

The latest results continue an impressive run for Tesla in what has quickly become one of the automaker’s strongest markets in Latin America.
Tesla Climbs Colombia’s Brand Rankings
While the Model Y claimed the top spot among individual models, Tesla also continued moving up the overall brand rankings.
In June, Tesla finished as Colombia’s fifth best-selling automotive brand with 2,422 registrations, representing an 8.3% share of the country’s total vehicle market. Only Kia, Toyota, Renault, and Chevrolet sold more vehicles during the month.
The result places Tesla ahead of several established automakers, including Mazda, Hyundai, Nissan, Volkswagen, Ford, and BYD.
The first half of 2026 has been equally impressive. Between January and June, Tesla registered 10,157 vehicles in Colombia, making it the country’s sixth best-selling automotive brand year-to-date.
That growth has largely been driven by the Model Y, but the Model 3 has also contributed to Tesla’s rapid rise in the market.
