Tesla is expanding and improving its Charge Stats and Charging Passport features, and this time owners around the world have a full year to compete for one of nine prizes, including free Supercharging for as long as they own their vehicle.
Charge Stats v2 rolling out
Tesla’s latest update represents a significant change from the original Charging Passport that debuted near the end of 2025. The first version was essentially a year-end recap, giving owners a snapshot of their charging activity once the year was nearly over.
Charge Stats v2 transforms that concept into a continuously updated experience. Instead of waiting until December to see your stats, owners can now follow their progress throughout the year as new charging sessions are automatically added.
The updated feature now also includes a map showing Supercharger locations visited, estimated distance added through charging, gas savings, favourite stations, longest trips, and a growing collection of badges earned through charging milestones and visits to iconic sites.
With Charge Stats 2, you can now see your road trips on a map, celebrate your charging milestones & visit iconic Superchargers to earn badges

The update is still being deployed, with some owners reporting it has only appeared on certain vehicles and requires the latest version of the Tesla app.
Nine winners across three regions
Tesla’s latest competition differs from last year’s version by dividing the world into three regions:
- Americas
- Asia-Pacific (excluding China, which has its own competition)
- EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa, with several countries excluded due to local regulations)
Each region will crown one winner in three categories:
- Longest Trip
- Most Unique Supercharger Sites Visited
- Most Energy Supercharged
A new definition of “Longest Trip”
Tesla has also changed how it calculates the longest trip. Instead of measuring the straight-line distance between two Superchargers, the company will track the longest continuous streak of unique Supercharger locations visited.
To keep the streak alive, owners must begin charging at a new Supercharger location within 24 hours of their previous charging session. Revisiting a previous location won’t extend the trip, although it also won’t reset the timer.
Importantly, every Supercharging session since January 1, 2026, is already being counted, even though enrollment won’t officially open until the 2026 Passport launches later this year.
Tesla says winners will be notified by email in January 2027, with free Supercharging applied to the winning vehicles by March 1, 2027.
