Tesla’s Hollywood Diner has officially turned one year old, and in just 12 months it has become much more than a place to grab a burger or watch a movie. According to new data shared by Tesla, the site is now the highest-utilization Supercharger location anywhere in the world.
The milestone was highlighted by Tesla Supercharging lead Max de Zegher through a post on X, saying the 80-stall station is the highest usage Supercharger in the world.
According to the data, drivers have completed roughly 1,600 charging sessions every day over the past year. With 80 Supercharger stalls on site, those numbers translate to an average of about 20 charging sessions per stall each day.
Over all those sessions, the station has delivered a staggering 21.2 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity. To put that in perspective, that’s enough electricity to power roughly 2,000 homes for a year, or provide more than 250,000 full charges for a Model Y.
The data also shows the Tesla Diner comfortably leading every other Supercharger site in the company’s global network. A chart comparing seven-day rolling energy totals places the Hollywood location well ahead of the next busiest stations, all of which were unnamed, with energy delivery continuing to climb throughout its first year rather than tapering off.
What’s Next
With the Hollywood location proving to be far more than a novelty, Tesla appears ready to build on its success. Back in April Elon Musk confirmed that “more diners coming,” although he stopped short of revealing where they will be located. He has previously suggested future sites could be built near Giga Texas and Tesla’s engineering headquarters in Palo Alto, and recently responded “sure” to a request for a diner in Palo Alto.
