Elon Musk has once again teased an expansion of the Tesla Diner concept, this time offering a more direct confirmation that additional locations are on the way—without revealing exactly where they will be built.
In a brief post on X shared this week, Musk simply stated “more diners coming,” suggesting that Tesla’s first location in Los Angeles is not a one-off experiment. While the CEO did not provide any specifics, his latest comment adds to a series of recent hints about where the Diner might expand to next.
Musk’s announcement came on the heels of a new feature for Tesla owners, who can now place their food order directly from their vehicle’s touch screen before arriving at the Diner. The feature has been visible since the Diner’s launch, but until now owners were not able to place an order.

Previously, Musk suggested it would “probably make sense” to build new diners near Giga Texas and Tesla’s engineering headquarters in Palo Alto. Those suggestions came a few months after the Diner’s successful opening in Hollywood, but he has more recently mentioned Palo Alto as the potential second location, responding “sure” to a request for a diner in the city just a few days ago.

Tesla’s first Diner officially opened on July 21 and quickly turned into one of the company’s most unique and talked-about projects. Combining a retro drive-in restaurant with a massive 80-stall Supercharger station, two large movie screens, balcony seating, and 24-hour service.

The concept itself dates back to 2018, when Musk first floated the idea of building a classic American drive-in experience—complete with roller-skating servers—at a Supercharger location.
Although Tesla has not disclosed detailed financial results, the company revealed in its Q1 2026 charging report that the diner sold more than 9,800 milkshakes during the three-month period. Tesla has also previously disclosed it sold more than 50,000 burgers in Q3 2025, an averaging over 700 per day.
