Tesla details the Arevon Townsite Solar and Storage facility [Video]

Tesla Energy released their latest video detailing the new Arevon Townsite Solar and Storage facility in Nevada.

The facility, located outside of Boulder City, Nevada, will generate 500,000 MWh annually, which will power over 60,000 homes in the region.

Boulder City sits 20 miles away from Las Vegas and is a bustling commuter town.

The Arevon facility consists of 528,084 solar panels and a 360 Mwh Tesla Megapack on the 1,053-acre property.

The facility will service the local community within Boulder City and an electric cooperative in the region.

The site has a 230 kV substation that ties into the Mead Substation outside Boulder City.

According to the company, the new facility will avoid 400,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions from the city annually.

The Townsite Solar and Storage facility was a joint project between Arevon and Rosendin.

Rosendin is an employee-owned electrical contractor and is one of the fastest-growing renewable energy groups in the country.

The project started construction in November 2020, and it went live on January 11, 2022.
