Aer Lingus has expanded its Starlink Wi-Fi service to all US routes, with an X post from @cb_doge saying its Airbus A321LR, A321XLR and A330-300 fleets are equipped to give passengers free high-speed internet access.
According to an announcement shared by Aer Lingus on Instagram, the airline has reached another milestone in its Starlink rollout, which began earlier this year.
The expansion means passengers travelling on the airline’s US routes can now stream videos, browse the internet and work online during transatlantic flights without paying for connectivity.
Aer Lingus first introduced Starlink on March 29, 2026, when passengers aboard flight EI105 from Dublin to New York JFK became the first to experience the service.
The inaugural aircraft was an Airbus A330 registered EI-EIN, with free connectivity available to passengers in every cabin. The airline said its phased rollout would begin with aircraft flying to North America.
In its original announcement, Aer Lingus said Starlink could deliver download speeds exceeding 500 Mbps, allowing passengers to use internet services much like they would at home.
Aer Lingus Chief Executive Officer Lynne Embleton described the introduction as an important milestone for the airline, highlighting improvements to both the passenger experience and onboard operations.
The expansion comes as other International Airlines Group (IAG) carriers adopt the satellite internet service. British Airways has also begun introducing Starlink across its fleet.
Aer Lingus previously confirmed plans to equip its remaining long-haul aircraft by the first quarter of 2027, followed by its short-haul fleet, excluding Aer Lingus Regional aircraft.
