Tesla is planning one of its largest Supercharger stations, and where else would it be except California. However, instead of the I5-adjacent locations typically chosen for charging hubs of this size, Tesla is putting this 124-stall station in San Francisco.
Plans for the project uncovered by Supercharger tracker Marco on X show the new station will be built at 75 Waterloo Street, on a large triangular property bordered in the southern part of the city near the US-101 freeway. The property is currently being used as a vehicle storage lot.
According to the plans, Tesla intends to install 124 Supercharger posts across the property. All 124 charging spaces will be placed using a conventional parking layout, rather than the pull-through stalls Tesla has recently been adding to newer locations to accommodate vehicles towing trailers.
The Waterloo Street location will also offer something becoming more common at Tesla’s larger charging stations: dedicated amenities.
Plans show a 416 square foot amenity building near the Loomis Street side of the property. The small building will include two restrooms, vending machines, water fountains and janitorial/storage space. It will be accessible around the clock, matching the Supercharger site’s planned 24/7 operation.
However, missing from what is typically found at these larger Supercharger hubs are solar canopies or Megapack units to help store energy and provide it during peak periods.
A timeline for construction or opening has not yet been revealed, but the plans were only submitted recently – May 26, 2026.
Once completed, the 124-stall station would rank among the largest individual Supercharger locations anywhere in the world, especially in a major urban city like San Francisco.
This isn’t the only Supercharger Tesla has planned for San Francisco. Marco also discovered plans for a smaller, but still large, 35-stall station 15 minutes further north at 25 Mason Street, right in the heart of the city’s downtown.
