Rivian trademarks six future models

Rivian is preparing to introduce a lineup of six SUVs and pickup trucks in the coming years. On July 23, the company submitted six trademarks to the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The trademarks are for R3S, R4S, R5S, R3T, R4T and R5T.

Rivian submitted their trademarks for the R1T and R1S back in October 2018. These trademarks include both logos and naming rights.

Insiders note that these vehicles are going to be cousins of the current Rivian lineup. The trademarks indicate that there will be three SUVs and three pickup trucks in the coming years.

Rivian has not made it a secret that the company is currently expanding their line of products. The company already has a production facility in Normal, Illinois, and is planning to expand. Moreover, the company recently released they are on the hunt for a second factory located in the United States.

There was no confirmation from Rivian, but it is not uncommon for auto manufacturers to send in trademarks before releasing vehicles.
